Youthful skin is supported by a hydrated dermis with a complete structural network. As skin ages, dermal endogenic components such as glycosaminoglycans are less renewed, leading to skin dehydration. The skin dermal support is weakened and fine lines and wrinkles begin to appear. HA2% contains Hyaluronic Acid Cube3® which includes three molecular weights of hyaluronic acid for greater penetration and increased efficacy in improving skin elasticity and skin smoothness, whilst reducing epidermal moisture loss and wrinkle depth. Cube3® helps regulate tissue repair, improving the firmness of skin and promoting more youthful looking skin. Hyaluronic Acid is distributed widely in the extracellular matrix of connective tissue and functions as a tissue lubricant, playing an important role in modulating the interactions between adjacent tissues. HA2% promotes the correct mechanical protection for tissues and cell layers (corneal, endothelium, and epithelium) thanks to its high viscosity. The elasticity of the solution assists in absorbing mechanical stress and providing a protective buffer for tissues. In facilitating skin healing, it acts as a protective transport vehicle, taking peptide growth factors and other structural proteins to a site of action. It is then enzymatically degraded and active proteins are released to promote tissue repair.
